Default [REQ] Fogged periscopes

Here's a challenge for all modders. Can this be done?

"We went back down to wet the scope, now hopelessly fogged, and Caverly called the bearings of the freighter's propellers as she closed.

Both the surface mist and the fogging of the periscopes had resulted from the very cold water and the moist summer air here in the northern Yellow Sea."

from Clear The Bridge by Richard H. O'Kane

This would be "cool" to have in game.

Too funny, I just read this passage in "Clear the Bridge" 15 min ago.

in sh4 the scopes either work or don't, there is no broken glass picture as in "GATO"

I believe SH5 has rain etc... clouding the scope

I don't know that it could be reversed engineered to work in SH4

I think that would be cool the first 2-3 times it happened, but after that would be too frustrating for a game.

What would be nice to reverse engineer is the clouds and weather from SH5.

I don't know. It seems like it is already hard enough to see the target.
