120' forward MF is nice. No real need for all around MF if you know the general direction. But the HF is too short range. You have to ping to much to get them zeroed before the HF picks them up. 300yd HF? Way too short. 900 yd and I think this would be a winner.

I've had problems with this model when evading surface traffic. Since the MF only pings ahead, you have to break contact when you maneuver to avoid a surface vessel.

I agree the HF range is poor. I've had a lot of trouble keeping HF contact when the SSK speeds up and goes deep. It's like it knows it can get below the HF range.
