Default New Radio Messages messages_en.txt

Hi All

I wish to put the Lehamans text file into my messages. It says to place the txt file in data, campaigns, campaign, messages_en.txt.
I cannot find the messages_en.txt in the campaigns folder...can someone help me locate this...I must be looking in the wrong place.

Thanks

John

Hi John! Can you be more specific when you mention this file, you want to replace it, is this right?

I wish to add the leahmans messages file to the existing message folder, as stated in the forum:
Installation:
Given the number of radio message mods currently released this mod is unfortunately not JSGME ready.
Add these messages to your current message file by:
1. Opening the 'Lehmann Intl News'.txt file
2. Select all
3. Copy
4. Open your existing Data\Campaigns\Campaign\messages_en.txt file
5. Paste

I just cannot locate the destination folder stated in my system:
It's driving me crazy

You answered yourself allready! It's in:

SilentHunterIII\data\Campaigns\Campaign

One level deeper than the Campaigns folder.

Hi
When I do that all I have in there are 3 campaign MIS files and no message folder or messages_en.txt.

I must be looking in the wrong folder or something but I just cannot locate any other campaign folder to look in

Lehmann Radio News is an old mod of mine and there are more up to date versions of it out there.

Try Mission Orders on my MediaFire page (link in my sig block). It's also JSGME compatible so no more hunting for the right folder.

When you play the game do you get any messages at all? I ask because that's where those files are, in both the stock game and in any supermod. If you don't see those files in that folder, then you shouldn't be getting any radio messages.

Hi Steve
Thats the thing...I was getting messages, but could not locate the folder they were in, it had to be somewhere or I would not have got any messages in the first place

Thanks
John

Thanks WB. I D/L'd the files and they are sitting in the campaign folder as txt files...a quick question.
When do these messages pop up in the message screen...I assumethey are dated and are "activated" by the games date. Is this correct?

Thanks
John
