Hi!
I have a strange behaviour inside the boat concerning sound. I should hear the ambience sound inside the boat, but I do hear a very short sound (like turning a page in a book) every 3-4 seconds continuously... driving me crazy and I do not have any ambience sound... I found the file (with the annoying sound-piece), amb_SubmarineInterior_Q.wav in: 004_01_DBSM_Speech_1_0_5 The file is also contained in: 004_00_CapthelmsAudioMod but there it is much shorter... So I thought that there might be an in-game setting about the length of the sound got confused? It is ~35MB in size and if I play it in windows, it plays perfectly right... Only in the game a small portion of it seems to be repeated again and again... If I enter the attack-scope and leave it again, the sound stops for a while but kicks in again very soon (I do not exactly now, when it comes back). Any ideas? Mod-Soup? Thank you very much! maybe this wav file it is corupted
![]() if is the same sound that you hear in game than dounload an sound mod and replace the corupt wav file if in windows the sound is playing ok then maybe somebody elese has an ideea cheers |

As I already wrote, the sound plays fine in windows.
I have found a lot of ambience sounds during my research for this problem that I never heard in-game... For example there should be a special ambience sound in the kittchen, right? Or the conning tower? Never heard that while playing the game... (but that problem is secondary). First of all this turning page is driving me nuts... I am going now to remove the sound mods and try to enable one by one... |

I replaced the file now by the equivalent one from SH3 GWX3 and the problem remains... That lets me thing that the file itself is not corrupted (because it plays alright in SH3 GWX3).
There must be something wrong in the configuration. I really would like to keep the sounds (and think it already worked in the past)... ![]() Questions: - Is there anything in the config files that could cause this problem? - sh.sdl is contained in DBSM and it looks like some kind of config file, but it is binary... - Stormys mod also does make use of the sounds from the movie "Das Boot"? - Can you give me a link to Stormys soundmod so I can try? - Am I supposed to hear different ambient sounds in e.g the kittchen or the conning tower? (because I do not, while I hear the special sound when entering the radio room). |

stormys mod has all the sounds (or almoust all) from das boot movie here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=164552 i can not play sh5 without this sound mod... before enabling you must install an key mod (the church one is very good) and you must to have some mods also.... read very careful all the writting from post 1 |

I'll give stormys mod a try, although I see problems coming up as I use a different keyboard mod (command keys 1.02). It makes the keys to be the same as in SH3 and as I jump between SH3 and SH5, I am relying on this...

I notice in this post that you mentioned a migration programme! I presume that this is to retain custom changes to TDW's Options? Can you clarify how to do this please,[would save a lot of hassle]. Cheers |
