Default Battlefield 3

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/de...field-3/710218

Modern era it is then...

From Wikipedia:

"Battlefield 3 will feature the maximalist combined arms battles that made the series popular across single-player, co-operative and multiplayer modes. It will reintroduce several elements removed from the console-oriented Bad Company games, including fighter jets, the prone position, and (on PC only) 64-player battles.[2]"

A new animation system will allow players to "drag fallen comrades into safety and mount weapons on almost any part of the terrain."[3] The destructible scenery of DICE's Frostbite engine will also be in use.

"Maps set in Paris, Tehran and New York have been confirmed. As a whole the game will cover urban streets, metropolitan downtown areas, and open landscapes suited to vehicle combat."

I was hoping for WWII again but hey, this does sound cool...

yes, yes, yes! *jumping up and down in anticipation* I hope that the annoying kiddies stick with playing MW.
finally 64 players again! The 32 player cap and the small map size prevented me from getting Bad Company.
I also like the modern day setting, glad they didn't make another 2142!

But then ofc, we're 6 (!!!) years later now, 64 players should be manageable....and I'll go BERSERK if they don't include the airplanes!

Also, here's one hoping that the knife will not be a quick command weapon. Put it back in the inventory where it belongs!

Well, the netcode has to handle more information, for example now we have destructable environment which BF2 didn't have. Plus the upload speed of many internet connections is still not much higher than 2004, but I hope they have no cap when you play on custom servers - if you can play on them...

I also hope that the ability to mount your weapon will make it into the final version. I always seemed kind of odd, that you could prone behind a wall, look over it, but are unable to place your rifle on it...
A quick accessible knife is ok in my book, in real life you draw a knife much faster than it takes to switch from a machine gun to a sidearm.

So when does this BF3 come out i'm interested now.

I tried mutli player in BF Bad Company 2 and don't like it that I find myself going back to BF2 BC 2 is pretty graphics, the world looks to real that it kills the fun I know its a stupid excuse but I like BF2 for the bullsh*t gameplay with godmode helicopter pilots who never die. eg Dalian plant USA side is all about getting to the chopper and surviving the short distance to land a 1 in 5 chance! Strike at Karkand & wake island is hell and you can forget about being a sniper in BF 2. I read they are trying to get Karkand into BC2, probablly wont bother now with BF 3 coming out.

Total game time: 204:23:42
Time using Sniper Rifle: 95:05:50
Kills with SR: 2213
Deaths: 1125
K/D: 1.97
Accuracy: 47.02%
And this is my "main" which I turned into sniper only very late in the "career".

Finnish_Ferret (My sniper only account)

Total game time: 21: 06: 12
Time using Sniper Rifle: 20:13:14
Kills with SR: 428
Deaths: 117
K/D: 3.66
Accuracy: 41.70% (Low accuracy due to having to use the POS semi-auto rifle as chinese before unlocks)

All kills on medium to long range. Towards the end of my BF2 playing, I pretty much constantly had maximum of 1 death per round and that was in 99% of times caused by enemy commander calling arty on me because no one could find me or I killed everyone who tried.

So, guess what I'm trying to say is that: You, sir, are horribly wrong.

No im right You jumped to conclusions before asking me politely what I meant
This is what I meant - BC 2 sniper is over the top god-mode, everyones a sniper cause its so easy aim + fire = yur dead sucker. Battlefield 2 sniper you have to work at it where to have a one shot instant kill aim for the head. So I was comparing the BC2 sniper with BF2 sniper. Maybe I should of just explained it better.
