Can SH5 be turned into SH4 controls???

Is there any hope modders out there could turn SH5 into
the same control system as SH4 including the hud, and
periscope targeting control system?

I have just obtained SH5 and I hate it. Hell I can't
even manually turn the boat. There doesn't seem
to be a Hard Left/Right... no evasive controls...

My only hope are you modders. Hopefully someone's
bright enough to convert it to SH4 style, away
from the Playstation feel it now has.

Way to ruin a great game Ubisoft. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It is already done. Install one of the TDW guis (magnum opus or new ui tdc by tdw)

1) before enabling the mod go to (we supouse that you have downloaded magnum opus mod):

C:Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1\data\Scripts\Menu

2) here you will find the TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py - open with notepad and find these lines:

#################################### UI Stuff (SH3/4/5 modes) ##################################
#+++++++++++++ UI Style ++++++++++++++
# Possible UI Styles:
SH5Enhanced = 0
SH3Style = 1
SH4Style = 2
# the current UI Style
# set below to either SH3Style, SH4Style, or SH5Enhanced
UIStyle = SH5Enhanced type here (replace) SH4Style

3) save and enable the mod after

enjoy playing your sh5 in the sh4 stile

But please note that the words of the TDW, SH4 Style is not the best for SH5 at all - if I remember correctly. Best to ask the artist himself, because I do not remember where this was.
So... I think the best way is SH3Style and stock keyboards commands. Working very good.

You misunderstunding my post my friend: i have not adviced nobody what is the best style to play - Venus wanted to know how he can play sh5 in sh4 style and the only thing was to let him know how to do that.

P.S. If i remember well i think that TDW adviced us to play in SH5enhanced style!

Please have all my consideration!
