Shouldn't the night time interior lights be red in color in order to preserve night vision??If there is a mod for this please tell me where..

I believe only U-boats used "Rig for Red" in their control rooms. Americans I believed used Blue... Could be wrong though

I think it was O'Kane who mentioned them in one of his books. It was kind of funny; they replaced almost every bulb with red ones. He said everyone hated it though. Their food took on an unappealing black look. Next patrol they carried regular white bulbs also. I imagine they could use what they wanted though.

If you were to relieve the watch at night you wore a set of red goggles 30 mins before you where to take the watch to adapt your eyes.

You and me both. SH4 without any mods rigs for red at night - real time at your location not base time. Maybe someone made a mod so the boat doesn't rig for red. Rig for red was a standard feature as far back as SH1 SHCE but you could turn it off in SH1, I didn't know it could be done in SH4.

If someone knows an easy way to just have the CT rig for red and not the CR I would like to learn how to do it.

Happy Hunting!

Yes, S Boats rig for Blue I've used RFB since it came out, and the boat always rigged for red at dusk. I don't know what could be wrong at the poster's end, or mabey we're not understanding what he's asking
