Default Attacking convoys with manual targetting, with WE help

Auto targetting was getting way too easy for me, and was taking away a lot of immersion. But because I'm not feeling ready yet to do the targetting myself, I let my weapons officer do this. Although it's still easy, it feels much more immersive.

However, when I intercept a convoy, I want to attack multiple ships at once. Problem is; I don't know how Is there a trick to do this?

Absolutely, its a 90* attack from the convoy, because of that, range doesnt matter, and since theyre all attacking at the same speed, you find the solution for the farthest away from you in a column (say there are four columns). Then set your periscope to the 0 gyro angle and fire tube 1 when the farthest ship crosses it. Open up tube 2, then fire that when the next closest ship crosses your crosshairs, and so on and so on. I dont remember where but there is a good visual representation of this somewhere.
