Quick question on ATI cards

Guys from what I'm reading unless I have Catalyst 10.09 drivers installed SH5 becomes a waste of HDD space. Can any other ati users confirm? I'm running a HD5970 2gb card, and it handles all other games perfectly.

I have a HD4870 1GB with catalyst 10.12. Game runs fine.

I've got the Black screen problem mentioned over in the bugs thread. Wont render when I climb out of the hatch to get up top. Renders inside the sub okay, just not the surface.

Update to driver 10.11.or 10.12, should be fine.

I have a 4890, win 7, cat 10.12, game runs fine.

Found the problem. Catalyst A.I was screwing with the card, disabled it and viola SH5 works with no issues.
