Default Periscope Problems

Even in dead calm seas my periscope is inundated by waves washing over the lens...is there a mod to keep this from happening at LEAST in calm seas?

It shouldn't be a problem in calm seas with wind speed 0, shouldn't be waves lapping, so did you check wind speed.? In rougher seas just a fact that water blocked the scope leaving you the choice of taking sightings between the waves or doing what most do, come up 5 ft or so above scope depth so you can see. If rough seas you do have to come up some to get clear looks.

Default US Subs

In US subs the observation scope always has this problem and you have to come up a bit. The attack scope however should not be a problem in calm seas at the designated periscope depth. Are you sure you are not using the observation scope instead of the attack scope?

This applies to the US subs, I don't know if the same can be said for the non-US subs in game.

That would be my guess. He must be using the observation scope. If he just comes up a foot or two in depth, that'll solve it.
