I am a 62-year old retired guy who loves boats and fishing here in Oregon. I have enjoyed sub sims from the earliest days of gaming but fell out of contact with the genre. I was delighted to find SUBSIM and have recently purchased and downloaded SHIII. I need a new video card for my "tired iron" computer, and will address that issue this week.

I have read with interest many, many posts in an effort to understand the game better. Thanks to so many who have put love and care into making it easier for us newbies. Although familiar with piloting and navigation basics I find that I am still struggling to get the hang of setting up parallel courses and getting to 90. I always try to find a previous post on any question that I have, so if I ask a "DUH" question it isn't because I haven't look for an answer first.
