Greetings all...and a Happy New Year!!
![]() I started a new career and took my boat out on it's shakedown out of Lorient. I was a couple days from home when I came across a lone freighter. So, eager for an easy kill I snuck in and picked out the British flag waving in the breeze. At that point I sent two eels her way. One missed and the other caught her slighty forward of her screws. I finished her off with the deck gun then sailed home to Lorient. When I ended the patrol it said that I sank a "NEUTRAL"!! ![]() |

I noticed that all cargo ships are "neutral" on the post-patrol screen. I think the "allied ships sunk" only counts for warships. Not sure, though...

Are you sure she was British because there are one or two similarly designed/looking flags?
A British vessel would not be neutral in Dec 41 ![]() |

Most odd...the only other flags possibly matching your description are those of Australia, Canada and South Africa but none of them were neutral in Dec 41

Oh well! I'm just going to write it off as going beyond the scope of my orders. I was on a shakedown. I was told to patrol a grid and was two days out from Lorient when I sunk her. |
