[REQ] Sub Icon that doesn't block data

Maybe I missed it somewhere--but I'm in desperate need of a mod that allows the ruler/protractor, etc. tools to be used without the bearing/range readout being blocked in some cases by the icon of the sub. Depending on the heading of the sub, sometimes you can't read the red digits showing, for example, the angle when using the protractor.

Any ideas?

I'm hoping someone will find/figure out how to change the font size and/or color of this. It needs some desperate attention
