Quality backlit keyboard
Heya,
I'm in the market for a backlit keyboard. I'm not interested in all the gamer crap like an LCD monitor so you can watch your CPU melt or a ton of macro-keys that are never used anyway. Just a high quality board that lets me find a key in the dark should I loose my way in the heat of battle... something like that. Preferably something of a reasonable size, as I often have the thing in my lap. My current board has a row of media keys to control volume and quickly bring up stuff like a browser or calculator. I'd like to keep this functionality, but it's far from a must. I'm willing to spend an extra 0.5 second and a few Joules to click an icon, maybe even double-click. Any suggestions? * oh right: NOT wireless, preferably PS/2 connector.

The only one I have used so far is the logitech G110, but that has those macro buttons you want to avoid and is rather bulky + it connects via usb. Other than that Saitek gets good reviews from some people I know, but cant really recomend any specific moddel.

I have one of these. Worked great for me (I never use it anymore, but that's just because I don't need to)

![]() G110 costs over €65,- while my current one only cost €15,-. Seems a little retarded to pay €50,- more for a few added LEDs. That backlit Saitek costs ~€25,-. Seems a lot more reasonable. ![]() Quote:

Thanks, looks good. Seems about the same in functionality as the other Saitek, though a bit more expensive.

Ended up with a G110. The Saitek boards, new or old, just couldn't find them around here.
Definetly not happy about the amount of money I had to pay for it, but the board itself is excellent. Even found a use for the macro-keys: stored my most used e-mail, usernames and passwords on them, making logging into SubSim just a little bit easier. ![]()
