Is it possible to be transfered from an S-18 to an S-42 in campaign? Because i like to play from the beginning. And what was the real difference in the S-18 and S-42 class? Just the conning tower?

The S-42 to S-47 were a modification of the basic Electric Boat design. They were 6 feet longer and approximately 33 tons heavier. They had refined fuel and ballast tank arrangements, and the EB designers tinkered with the Kingston valves and duct keel in an attempt to make them faster divers. The conning tower fairwater was also different in that these boats had a full gun access trunk forward of the fairwater that led into the control room, and they lacked the aft extension of the fairwater that the other EB design boats had.
