Default FM sonar in TMO causing FPS hit, but thought FM was uninstalled.

So long ago I tried the FM sonar mod and the one ducimus tried to make for TMO but since it caused a FPS when mines were around, uninstalled. Now i've had a couple fresh installs of TMO since then.On TMO 2.0 plus BETA now.For some reason the minefield training mission is in TMO still.

Also, on patrol in January 1945 off China coast(south of Shaghai, just out of Formosa Strait in east china sea) started taking huge FPS hit when on surface, when checked sonar, was getting the noises made by the mines in the FM sonar mod.Annoying, really causes game to lock up, forced me to restart my computer.

So how do I go about getting it back so i cant detect mines on my sonar? Esp on surface.Or does anyone know if its something left over in TMO? Sucks not being able to get close to minefield, es in 1945.

Running TMO 2.0 with the BETA patch and RSRD.

I don't think the FM issue ever got worked out and I've yet to notice this issue. Is this only happening in the single mine mission? I thought he nerfed the FM from TMO, course I haven't used it to look for mines in a long time, but ain't run into one either.

No I was in a campaign in Jan 1945 off china coast in east china sea, looking for convoys.Got a tone of lag, figured a convoy was near, when I went to sonar to see if could hear distant screw noises, I was getting the "beep beep" noise you get from the FM sonar, I remember it.I had external view disabled so couldnt go outside for a look BUT I looked in the ME and I was right in the middle of a minefield, thus the lag.

I did a search and found some files may be related to FM sonar, went ahead and deleted them, going to reinstall SH 4 an TMO and see if perhaps it's gone now.

And now you know why it was never offiically released. As i recall, vickers pioneered the mod, and tossed it for the same reasons cited in the original post. I *thought* i could get it work.... but could not. It was a great idea, but it just didn't work out so well.

dsd files, are where sounds are added. deleting these files will remove the sounds from those objects, not the objects themselves.

edit:
Do not delete zon files. Thats where damage zones and/or collesion spheres are added.
