New Patrol Area For Me

It's April/43, and the USS Drum has departed Midway on her third war patrol. Tha patrol area is inside the Sea of Okhotsk. This is a new area for me, and from the looks of the game map, devoid of traffic. I've never been sent to this area, so I don't have the faintest idea of where to start. Mabey the La Peruse Strait? If anyone has patrolled here successfully in the past, I could use some tips. Thanks. Just for the record, RFB and RSRD of course!
