Default GWX 3 addons

i just installed sh3 to 1.4 and added gwx3.
what other gwx addons are there.
and what other mods would you all suggest?

Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but it´s true!

No problems, each Savegame and new Patrol loads without any problems !!!

Being a SH3 and mods newbie, I must ask, is that list in addition to the default GWX mod package? Meaning, if I like them, I could install them on top of GWX?

Yes and No !

YES means you must first install GWX 3.0 and then all other MODs !

And NO means, that I make manually in the MODs many adjustments, so that one File to another is compatible. It cost me weeks to create the List in the correct order (with File Adjustments).
That is, you can not simply enable the MODs from my List with JSGME, so it requires knowledge of working with files and S3D Tool !

Hmmm....

Is there a list or something that shows which mods are naturally compatible with GWX? Or do most modders try to make their mods compatible since GWX is pretty much almost standard?

Default That's a very good question.....

I don't know if this is actually possible, but it would be a great idea.
Unfortunately there are so many combinations and personal likes and dislikes that it would make it difficult to create a fully comprehensive, compatible list.

I think you've got to struggle through and test until you have a working solution that meets your requirements. Asking relevant questions on this Forum also works. There are always some exceptionally helpful people with an answer.

The mod "read me's" often give instructions on compatibility.

For example, recently I've struggled and still continue to struggle with compatibility on:

DD OH V3.09 20091209162038
FM New Interior V1.0
Conning Tower Open Hatch TestFM Food
MaGui 3.4
CT FM NI Fix for MaGui 3.4

It'll load on Naval Academy "Convoy Attack", but not on Single Mission "Happy Times" for example.
Can't work it out, and I can't add "Lifeboats & Debris V4" either.

I'm not savvy enough to know how to alter the files to ensure no conflict occurs.

The search for an answer continues between gulps of stress reducing red wine..!!

The modders that use, or created, GWX will create further mods for that, but the modders that use, or created, LSH or one of the other supermods will mod for those.

That's just my best guess, as I don't mod (where to begin ) but if I did that's what I'd do.

Each person has a different taste in mods so each compatibility list would be different, there are a lot of different permutations for SH3 mods - and I'm grateful for them all

As a relative newcomer to SH3+mods I rely totally on JSGME to install them and identify conflicts. It does an excellent job!

Which is probably the most sensible way to go for most people.

One mans meat can easily become another mans poison and mod soup has an uncanny habit of spoiling a supermod that was previously going along merrily without a hitch.
