I have SH3 and GWX and I seem to remember one randomizes crush depth. when it randomizes it does it stay the same for each boat in a career Ie if I have a IIB that goes to 150 If I use the IIB throughout my whole career will it continue to go 150? or is based on patrol?
The only reason I ask is because in my new campaign / patrol I took my IIB down to 157 when in deeper water and the only reason I couldnt go deepr is because I bottomed out. |

IIRC the randomised depth is per patrol.

Okay is it just a Few meters difference? or quite a bit? because if I remember right, in the menu before you ship out if you look at the boat in upgrades section the game states its max depth is 125? for a IIA or B cant remember, I think A

Each patrol. It reflects the changing conditions in steel quality and water pressure, which would impact crush depth at any given time and place.
Now, if I gave the randomisation range, it would hardly be an unknown, as it was in RL (manufacturers suggested crush depth was not necessarily the same as actual crush depth, due to the lack of practical testing that could be undertaken). ![]() |

I have it unchecked. Because I keep thinking the stock GWX will let me go deeper..
Is this true? Or should I check it off? For example.. I many times go to 250 meters in my IX boat.. And sit there for 30 minutes or more at times.. I am afraid to check it because it will just POP.. ?? |
