Welcome aboard

Any of the supermods are pretty much a must, infinately better than the stock game. There is a high-res mod available

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1092

and myriad threads on high-res or widescreen issues.

On the GWX front, did you download the 7 .bin files and an .exe, or did you torrent single file? If the former then they (I think) all need to reside in one place and then double-click the .exe to self-install.

Have you enabled the 'GWX-Fix French' mod that comes with GWX?

You will need to enable it via JSGME.

I have answered your PM also

GWX must be installed over a fresh, clean install of the stock game.

Uninstall SH3, delete the SH3 folder from My Documents (the game-created folder where it stored your player files) and, for best results, run a registry cleaning app to remove any other residual bits and pieces of the game.

Then reinstall SH3, then install GWX.

Steam uses a different map to normal install I think it might be in
C>Program Files>Steam
or something... but all you got to do is change the install map to what folder SH3 is installed into.

Hope this helps
