Default New Movie To Be Released

Just ran across this website! http://www.divethemovie.com/divetrailer.php

It's a new documentary coming out soon called "Dive: A Submariners Story".
I sure do want a copy of this one! The link is to the trailer and it has real WWII
Submariners telling their story. Looks like the real deal to me!

Yes! I think so too! I wonder how we'll be able to see the whole thing; Will it be for sale or what. I subscribed to the newsletter, maybe it will enlighten me.

Well, according to this site:
http://www.moviesplanet.com/movies/221870/uss-seaviper

It'll be released next month. I'm sure it will be entertaining, but from a historical perspective, it'll probably be on par with U571 considering there's pictures of german soldiers in the screenshot gallery on the movies homepage.

Why the hell do they have to put germans in a PTO movie. Extremely un-promising.

heh.....

See picture:

Note the URL.

I guess some people just can't make a WW2 movie without including the token nazi's.

edit: Although i suppose a plot link could be established because the Japs did deal with Germany a few times.

Ah, come on, tater! You know you will!

For the fun of it, I did a search on U-234 refered to in the Seaviper movie and there's actually a movie done in 1993 about U-234.
Seems to be in german only though?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_submarine_U-234

The movie:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Das_letzte_U-Boot
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0100012/

The DVD:
http://www.amazon.de/Das-letzte-U-Bo.../dp/B000MAH47K

The book:
http://www.versandbuchhandelscriptor.../1132letz.html

Based on the above, I've ordered the DVD

No, actually when I say stuff like that, I mean it

I see very few movies (2 little kids). If I'm gonna see one, it will be something I want to see.

Latest seaviper trailer, added 2 months ago,

Nice sub scenes, but it's defiantly classic hollywoods ahistorical rendering of things that never actually happened.

Just a follow-up on the movie mentioned above: "The Last U-Boat"... Das Letzte U-Boot, Geheimmission Tokio.

Watched it tonight and it is... not bad and not good. No Hollywood effects and very true to history.
A drama-documentary pretty well done. But you can live a perfectly happy life without ever seeing this one.

Model used in movie I'm not able to recognize. Possible a guppy - and possible a polish one?
Definitely a 1950's version, but I'm not familiar with these modern things...

If you, who reads this, wants the DVD, please PM me and I'll ship it to you.
But be aware that it's in german. With subtitles, yes, but these are for the english/american/japanese speech translated to german.
