whats with the "ship mods"

the forum http://www.ubs47.com has released many so called "warship mods" are those mods real?
how are they supposed to work?

Its probably chinese, as U-47 made a bunch of Warship Mods that turn specified Uboats into warships. I belive most if not all are for SH3.
