Hi everyone.
My goal is simple. Extend the Radar detection range. I just don't know which file to edit to achieve this simple goal. I've already messed around with some files but to no success. Could someone point me in the right direction? Just let me know which file it is i need to modify. Thanks Hopefully its not one of those weird files like .GR2 or .ZON. I can't figure out how to modify these files. The reason I want my radar detection range extended is because I don't want the radar to be useless. When I first got the radar the rotatable antenna one I left it on during my entire patrol just to see how she worked... it was bad. I was about 10km away from a large convoy (detected by sonar) and my radar wasn't picking up anything! Maybe thats the way it's supposed to be (realistically) but I don't care I want to make it just a little bit usefull and not some decoration on my boat. Thanks for the help. ![]() |

Unfortunately it is a GR2 file that you need to edit.
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Objects\Sensors\Uboot_sensors.gr2 merge the Uboot_sensors.sim in the Goblin Editor. There you will see various types of radar configurations, along with the settings you need to change.
