Default torpedo transfer

Is it possible to transfer torpedoes from the aft reserves to supply the bow tubes? I rarely use my stern torps and I find it a waste to return with unused torps.

The short answer is no.

well, just think of this:
- how in the world would you manage to turn the torpedo around since it faces the stern.

- how would you manage to carry it to the bow through the cluttered up sub

maybe a mine, but impossible for a torpedo

NOt in the game.. And as crazy as it sounds, it has been done in real life before. I read some where (probably here) that its been done with rafts and dragged to the front/rear.

Not too long ago we had a discussion on the SH4 board. This should give you good information on the reality.

In-game? No.

Recently saw a picture of a crew doing that and at first wondered wtf are they doing? The torpedo looked almost like it had a condom wrapped around it in order to make it easier they made the torpedo buoyant. They put it into the water and with ropes turned it around and then pulled it to the other end of the sub. To do this to just 1 torpedo took several hours and a dozen or so crewman on the deck. In anything but calm water the operation would've been suicide. Way to risky and was so complicated had to be done during the day, few times it was tried (and reported) frequently crew were lost or at least injured in the process.
