I'll believe it when they actually do release it.

I personally feel that their dev team should settle for nothing less than this.

TotalBiscuit's DNF review after ~5 hours of playing:

Unfortunately, I'm also around 5hrs in and have to agree with that.

It has good moments too, especially liked when I came across a guy yelling at some other guy behind the sets of a studio: "You ----ing amateur! I'm trying to make a scene here and you go wandering around in the background! You know how ----ing distracting that is!?", so yes, Christian Bale reference there. Being, Duke, I knocked him out.

But all in all, take out Duke's character, change the title and you have a pretty darn boring shooter for the most part.

Haven't played it yet but im watching totalbuscuits first 45 min play.

And while he makes some good points and observation's, damn is he impatient.

Reminds me of an uncle of mine i used to game with a lot. "Nevermind the quests or story brullcrap, LETS GET DOWN INTO THE DUNGEON!!!!!" He said something along those lines when we first played Diablo 1 together, and later on with games like baulders gate, or hell, even Oblivion. This thought Kinda makes me take his review with a grain of salt, but he does sound objective for the most part.

And i have to agree. Game markers need to get the hell away from the rail shooter design. It''s boring, it ruins replayabilty, and makes the FPS feel more like a themed ride at an amusement park.

edit: As an example of his impatience, He totally missed the Christian Bale reference, and the opportunity to knock the guy out.

Ive been reading on a forum over here that the steam version is bugged, once installed you get a 6gig update! Apparently steam tries to download the game again or something like that.

As for me dont know if I even want to play this watched a few you tubes the Dukenukem thing doesn't do it for me anymore. The long wait kinda killed it now. Maybe later on I might wanna play it.

Now that kinda irks me. Particurally since my bandwidth isn't infinate anymore. Anything that costs me more bandwidth then it should bugs me now. (granted it will take me awhile to push through a 250 gig cap, but i have a cap none the less)

Honestly I think this or ANY game will NEVER do well in reviews given its track history. From what ive seen thoguh, they added too many new FPS rules to it, thus making what could have been great, simply, ok,. or "standard fare". Probably About as vanilla and generic as COD, which seems to be what all FPS are starting to emulate.
