It sounds awful to say it but if she actually did fall in there I hope she hit her head on something and, you know, died right away. Nobody seems to have heard any calls for help so maybe that's what happened. Otherwise it's almost too horrible to think about.

Wow, incredibly stupid of her.
Almost impossible she hit her head. She starved to death, or perhaps died from heat (sunny day, chinmey must get pretty warm). No possible way it was quick. |

If she got stuck slipping down a chimney then it's likely that she suffocated.
The thickest part of your body is your chest. When you exhale your chest contracts a bit, that makes you you slip down a little more, then you can't re-expand your chest to inhale again. Unconsciousness and death comes quickly after that.
