For Sh3 there seem to be some problems related with savegames:
* Savegames when submerged or near a convoy can lead to CTD * Reloading saved games takes long time * The internal counter for weather changes is reset when reloading At least one person stopped playing SH3 because of that: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=173461 I am currenty working on a workaround/idea: Dual boot with one OS (Win7) only for Sh3. Instead of saving/reloading the game I switch Win7 to Hibernatinon state, and if I want to continue to play, I wake up the OS. This only works with an Boot-Manager like Boot-US, because otherwise the PC automatically starts the sleeping Win7 with SH3 when I power-on the PC. The Boot-Manager allows me to chose whether to use my other OS for working/internet or to wake up the sleeping OS with SH3. |

Works well. Now I can pause the game even during a battle or when submerged or when highly damaged or in any other critical situation. But in order to still use the random functions of SH3-Commander, I have to save/reload from time to time, but this can be done in non-critical situations with no enemy in sight.

That's a good idea H, I'm going to give this idea of yours a little thought.
