Me want!

No PS3 though...

But I've been thinking of getting one now that my Xbox360 has broken down after 2 years.

It looks incredible! I will wait for some reviews on how it feels though.. a pretty arcade game is still an arcade game, and GT has never been very simulator.

rF2 still has my next gen driving vote.. or maybe WRC2010... or maybe...

I'm so tempted to get the UK equivalent, is it as expensive in the States as it is over here though? It's like £150

Well Sony have just secured a console purchase from me. Christ my income's going to be just barely enough to cover my expenses for the rest of the year.

It's $99.99, which according to google is £64.1455

Wow, the UK version is nearly 100 dollars more.

Edit: No wonder the UK Signature Edition has the following:
Quote:
  • An exclusive, branded Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 1:43 scale model car
  • A Gran Turismo leather wallet and metal Gran Turismo key fob
  • A Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo
  • A bespoke Gran Turismo 5 USB key with a trailer showing the collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Polyphony that brought the SLS AMG to screen
  • Six additional in-game 'Stealth' cars including the McLaren F1 and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and a dynamic theme
Plus the chance to win an actual Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

Although there is a 79.99 Pound Collectors edition that has:
Quote:
  • Exclusive Special Edition inlay sleeve art
  • 200+ page 'Apex' driver's magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more
  • Five Collector's Edition artcards featuring exclusive artwork
  • In-game 'ChromeLine' vehicle pack: five performance-enhanced cars ready to race
  • Exclusive dynamic theme to customize your PS3 XMB

That Vid is old, E3 old.

Oh, and you should all see it in 3D as well. (which is part of the reason for it's horrendous delay).

Had this on order for nearly 18 months now, but recently canceled to get the Signature Edition. I have approximately 3 months left to live, cos when the wife finds out......

See you all on the Track.

Check these out also:

A new preview has been published:
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/111/1114445p1.html
Quote:
Here, it's possible to have up to six drivers, and your job is to manage them. In-game, that means maintaining their physical and mental conditions, issuing commands to get them to speed up, slow down or attack the driver in front. It's represented in three different views; there's the command view where the action's restricted to a small window while the rest of the screen is taken up with telemetry read-outs. Another view offers up the live timings, with sector times fully broken down and a final one shows the racing off in full-screen glory.
Quote:
The next opponent is a Gallardo, which the Ferrari hangs on the tail of looking for gaps at each turn. As the first corner approaches again, it dives for the inside but the Gallardo blocks him off. At this the driver's mental status takes a dip – as indicated by an onscreen bar – and as it continues to push it makes more and more mistakes, overshooting apexes and letting the rear-end slip out a little too far as it falls into the clutches of the Citroen behind it. It's dynamic behaviour that suggests that Gran Turismo's A.I could, at long last, have been brought up to scratch.
They also mention the track creator in the preview.
