Default Were in the wrong buisness...

Federal goverment pay outpaces the private sector.

Quote:
At a time when workers' pay and benefits have stagnated, federal employees' average compensation has grown to more than double what private sector workers earn, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

This is the problem exactly, govt jobs should not be so lucrative, bc it cost taxpayers too much money in addition to enslaving the nation.Get a large number of americans working for the government, wonder where their loyalties are eh? To the people or to the govt that pays them so well.Bc most peoples ultimate loyalty is to their pocket book.

Look at Greece, didn't 50% of the people work for the govt or something?

For the best jobs, look for ones in unappropriated organizations. They do not have any salary caps. . And the best part is that there is no tax money used for the salaries (that's why they are unappropriated)

I guess that would a rational for not hiring a contractor to do the job?

Not exactly five times the price, more like 1.5-2.0 times the price.

Now if you want to compare contractor pay to military pay, then we are talking about 3 times

That's because the federal government serves a function. The private sector is out for profit with executives doing what ever it takes, whoever be damned, to get their bottom line. Thus we live in times where jobs get cut, pay raises and 401K matching ceased to exist, all the while those of us that are left, are wondering when our jobs will be outsourced.

Of course federal goverment jobs outpaced the private sector, its a no brainer as to why.

Don't you be coming up with numbers when there is a perfectly reasonable opening poll dealing with vague unspecified generalities.

It could howver be said that middle management get better pay and lower scales get better benefits, but bundling everything together as an average representative is either false or just thick.
