Default Anyone has 'Hitman U-505 Compass Graphics v1.0'?

Hello,

Back to SH3, reading a zillion forum messages re mini-mods and trying to improve my SH 3 + GWX 3.0 setup. My goal is to get a stable, good looking, realistic and functional setup. Then I would like to go manual targetting route...

So far I was able to find most minimod files either here or on google, but cannot find this one:

Hitman U-505 Compass Graphics v1.0

Anyone cares to share?

Thanks

Vendor,

Thanks for the reply. I was swimming deep in various MODs here and on people's filefront pages for the last few days - I think now I have a better idea of how and why things work (or break) and am restarting to create my 'stable' build now.

The diversity of choices is really amazing, SH3 modding community here surely have done a great job over the years! A big thank you to all modders and anyone who contributed to this ocean of choices!

The only problem is the usual compatibility issues which comes with virtually all community modding planet. Having no central authority is both the strength and weakness of various different modders I guess.

Anyway thanks again I'm off to mod installing and compatibility fixing

PS beware of my nickname, a million modding questions pouring in soon

Or you could just go directly to the source.

Hey Steve,

Thanks for the source URL, I was unable to locate it before hence the thread.

Good to see you are so helpful, no wonder why SH3 has a million mods with everyone helping each other.

BTW this stable mod building thing takes longer than I expected. I have played net 5 hours and mod-tested for 35 hours net in the last week.

I'll freeze my mod search and just 'go playing' soon

Thanks again

I have a long record of not playing for that very reason. Five years ago I bought the game on release. Every time anybody comes up with a new mod that affects the home bases I feel compelled to start over at the beginning of the war. Every time anybody creates a new mod that affects the Type II I feel compelled to try it out in 1939.

In five years I've completed maybe 10 patrols, and have never finished a career (well, the one where I died early on counts, I guess).

I just started a new career in August '39, and I'm once again waiting for the war to start. Someday I might actually make it into 1940.

I am following your footsteps for the time being but I am determined to get a 'nice enough and stable' pack at some point and stop adding new stuff. Otherwise SH10 will be out before I finish first career.

So far it's going good, already released my own merged mods pack v.0.2-BETA. It's only for personal use for now, if I feel this has matured enough I may put a torrent to share with new players who don't want to spend 50 hours reading READMEs and testing.

This is a different type of a 'release' BTW, packing from C: drive to D: drive

Do you have a similar pack available somewhere? Or are you aware of any such packs?

If I can find some to base my small modifications on, maybe I will save the next 30 hours...

Thanks

P.S.: Also celebrating each release with tea.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! I kept restarting my patrols to try new things. I finally joined Enigma Flotilla just so I would have a reason *not* to restart!

(But now I want to see if I can get Longer Repair Times working with Enhanced Damage and Lifeboats and it's driving me crazy not being about to port and try it out )
