Hull Integrity 9%

Before the end, my last boat (U-747) got pretty damaged while still keeping alive. The hull integrity was at only 9% but the boat was still afloat!

I'd just left Brest and started north when a couple of aircraft caught me unawares. The boat was damaged quite a bit and sank uncontrollably...all the way to the sea floor, which luckily was only 90m. Eventually, repairs were complete, but the electric engines were destroyed, but we could float to the surface and use the diesels...

Upon surfacing, though, some aircraft were waiting. They strafed and bombed the boat again. Diesel engines were destroyed this time. I sent off a patrol report before submerging to periscope depth.

So, there we were...9% hull integrity, no engines of any kind, only the ability to surface or drop to periscope depth (was afraid to go any deeper). I kept waiting for a radio message, just out of curiosity of what it would say, but none ever came...eventually some aircraft caught us again and ended my career.

Not sure what I could have done gameplay-wise since I couldn't move...I was toying with the idea of telling myself I could use the Return to Base option if I managed to survive 24 hours (simulating some sort of rescue boat arriving).

Teleporting back was probably the only viable option to you in those circumstances....your quite correct
