You might be creating a double folder when you unpack them, especially if you do right click->extract to folder blah blah mod. In the Silent Hunter 4/mods/blah blah mod/ that there is a folder called typically 'data'. If there is another folder with the mod name, then you need to copy that folder to the mods folder.

E.G.:

SH4\Mods\More Ice Cream Mod\Data
not:
SH4\Mods\More Ice Cream Mod\More Ice Cream Mod\Data

i do it this way:

install the mod enabler in the main sh4 directory

create a new temporary folder on your desktop then unpack the mods you wish to use to it

next open the new temporary folder and inside the mod folder you need to confirm you only see a "data" folder and maybe a "documents" folder.

if you do then its ready to put into jsgme, if you dont see that then most likely the folder you do see is the "real" mod folder that needs to be put into jsgme but open it as well to confirm this.

now delete the files from the temp folder and do the next mod or if done just delete the temp folder altogether.

activate the mods you want to use and load up the game

Default I can't get my mods to work!!!

Hi, my name is Mike and I have playing SH4 for over 1 year now. I recently had to have my computer redone because I had some viruses. Before I had it redone, all of the mods that I had installed worked just fine. Now however, none of them work. Everything from my hard drive was transferred to an external HD before my computer was redone, and transferred back when the work was finished. I reinstalled SH4, updated it to v1.4 with the patch I had downloaded, which for some reason is the only SH4 download I have that still works, and then reinstalled the mods as I had done in the past. The problem is that none of them worked. I tried manual instillation, the Generic Mod Enabler, and even re-downloading two of the mods, and nothing works. Is there anything that I can do to fix/correct this problem? If so, please let me know ASAP. Thanks!
