I've noticed that the textures of both VIIB conning towers always appear brighter/lighter than the rest of the boat with both Helgrau and tiger stripe camo, is anyone else noticing this? If so, could it be a shadow map issue?

Probably a shadow mapping issue. No big deal to fix it as long as the entire conning tower is all too bright or all too dark. You could just track down the texture used for the shadow map(they are labeled pretty well) and turn the brightness settings for the image either up or down.

No big deal. Go to Google, search GIMP. It should be one of the first things that come up. Download, install, and you are ready to go. It is completely free, and it is what I use. If you ask Hawkza, he is putting together a modding startup kit, I am sure he would send you what he has so far. I wrote a brief instruction manual for GIMP for him, so you could follow it to do what you want. Also, I can tell you anything about GIMP that you would like to know.
I would just make the changes for you, but I am just too busy with my own stuff right now ![]()

Haha yeah I can imagine.
![]() Anyhow, it's a relatively minor problem so I may try to fix it, maybe not. |
