I use to run ROW 9, twas fairly decent. Wonder how it would sound over EAX...
Have you tried Poul's sound with EAX. Tons of sounds, love some points of it, but frankly too many sounds for me since I like my music. |

Just a sidenote.. I tried that Poul sound thing.. and found it to be most annoying. Many of the voices are taken from the (rather poorly translated) english version of "Das Boot", with the main characters' actors doing the voiceovers, so they're easy to recognize even if you know only the german version of the film.
I'm in a fleet boat down there. I don't like to sound like an all-too-well-known german captain speaking poor english at all while I'm in there. ![]() Especially true for that sound scene playing when you edit your nav map paths. Try plotting a course with around 14 points or so while "Herr Kaleun" is shouting at his navigator on each mouseclick.. ![]() (Don't get me started on the false information the samples bring with them, like the sinking sounds of a ship and the cheering crew when you just scored your first hit and your target is still perfectly fine, or.. ![]() That EAX addon was nice, though I never really heard special EAX-ish behaviour until now, but I like the new sounds it brings along a lot. Gotta love that deck gun sound.. Think I'll have a look at that ROW thingy, maybe that's more accurate than Poul..? |

Well what is the EAX guys? Can it be used with the ROW sounds?How about a link to the EAX....Really upsets me that they screwed up the D/L section with that dam code thing..

Actually, the D/L section has it's own search bar.

EAX is the best sound mod out there, add's sound and corrects sound range. Most use Poul's sound mod with it, but that one has too many sounds for me.

What are ROW sounds? Actually, if they are sounds, can I incorporate them into TMO2.0? EAX-is their a version that runs with TMO2.0? TMO2.0 has pretty good sounds, so I am not sure they need changing. When my ship is destroyed (that should be plural), I am happy their aren't any sounds of people screaming (as in a death scream), as I take care of that personally.
