external torpedo reserves

ok so i just destrooooooooooooooooyed convoys on britains coast and got a new boat. it came with a nice speed upgrade for my engines and external torp reserves as seen on the uboat in SH4. now i go back out and found this lovely 12+ ship convoy and just melt it down to three ships. i have no HE shells left, as i used em to destroy the ones i torpedoed that were still floating, and i want to wear them down for the kill so i dont run out of AP shells dtoo on my deck gun. now i expended all my torps, but still have 2 in my reserves. and if you havent realized yet that im SURfaced, as pointed out by me using my deck gun, please note that before you respond

My question is simple: HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET THEM INTO THE TUBES!!?!?!? ive tried clicking+dragging em down into the internal reserves, but that didnt work.so how u get em out when ur surfaced?

and also on an unrelated note, what does DRM stand for exactly?

I'm still running around in a type VIIA so I can't answer your first question, but for the unrelated one: Digital Rights Management. Actually do you have the autoload box checked in your torpedo management screen?

Hmmm, well clicking and dragging them from the external reserves to the internal storage works for me, so you're doing everything right. If it's not working, them I have no idea, unless you are dragging them into the actual tubes, instead of the stores. Drag the external stores into the internal stores first - you can't load an external torpedo straight into the torpedo tube after all, that would be impossible. You'd have to get it inside first. It won't be instant, but you'll get a bar across the torpedo as the transfer time counts down. Don't submerge with a transfer in progress. Once you have the torp inside, you can load it into the tube.

"Don't submerge with a transfer in progress."

Why not? Deck watch crew stay on deck when submerged as do the deck gun crew. It's evolution baby, they all have gills now :P
