Default [REQ] Bad weather deck gun restriction

Is it possible to restrict the use of the deck gun in bad weather? I have no idea what weather-limits the deck gun had in real life. But an "educated" guess from me would be wind around 8 m/s.

Of course, as the master of the the vessel, I could make a self-imposed rule not to use the gun in bad weather. But when I'm out of torpedoes, I can't help cheating. I need a "physical" restriction for not using the gun.

Ok, I think i understand thfeu58 a little bit...
I open \data\Submarine\ NSS***

I look inside ***.cfg

NSS_Uboat2A.cfg have this line:
StormConditions=9,0.4;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]

So... what do I do now...?

-----

Hmmm, If I understand this cfg line correctly, I should not be able to fire the gun over 9 m/s wind or 0.4/1 rain.
Well, I can fire the gun at 15 m/s wind, with the "submerged crew".

If I remember SH3 correctly, I could not man the gun in bad weather... correct?

You're the Captain. Eyeball it and if you think the sea looks too heavy, then don't order the deck gun to be manned.

Reduce the value StormConditions to 8.

Then one more bottle Famous Grouse behind ...!

Ok, u miss the point...

Should I shadow this vessel for X hours/days until the weather gets better, or just pop out of the water and sink it? If the sim allows me to use the gun in 15 m/s, I'll do it.

However, If I can't man the gun due to the weather, I have only two options: Shadow it or forget it....

That functionality (sea too rough) hasn't worked since SH3. Crew will also not don their rain gear in rough seas for the same reason.

Perhaps the scripting of the officer's order to man the deck gun could be changed. A condition could probably be put on the order to be under a certain wind speed. This would be similar to how TDW made some orders work while surfaced but not submerged and vis versa.
