As for the genre, Jarrard wouldn't bite on a question about whether it will or won't be a first-person shooter, a la Halo, other than to say: "Looking back on our pedigree we'll definitely be building on the strengths that have helped Bungie to get where we are today."

Interesting. Action game universe. Is there a keyword here? UNIVERSE? Could this mean they will work on an online universe? An MMORPG or an MMOFPS perhaps? Something to rival CCP's Dust 514? In case you are wondering what in the world is Dust check out the trailer here.
I love this quote from the announcement:

"We chose to partner with Activision on our next IP because of their global reach, multi-platform experience and marketing expertise," said Harold Ryan, President of Bungie. "From working together over the past nine months on this agreement, it is clear that Activision supports our commitment to giving our fans the best possible gaming experiences."

Funny, they forgot "at a price".

If a member of Activision is reading this, please consider me for a job. The promises of gold, cash, and hookers (I will pass on the hookers, for now) makes for an amazing work environment.
