Yup, Turn OFF online saves, or this crap will keep happening to you.

You can save and autosave constantly during a gaming session, but if you exit out or lose power or otherwise don't quit the game and let the launcher upload to Ubi's servers... it's all lost! Because next time you log in Ubisoft will overwrite whatever is on your PC with whatever old data they have.

While logging in click the little 'cog' or 'gear' icon in the top right corner of the login screen and turn off online saves. You'll still have the annoying 5-10 second pause while it "synchronizes save games", but it's not really doing anything and you won't lose saves games to Ubi's poor OSP program anymore.

Yeah, I lost 12 hours of gameplay once. Sucked a lot. I'd been playing all day, was gonna log off while I ran to get some food but thought, "I'll just be gone a few minutes". Lost power due to a storm during those few minutes and lost it all! heh

Why are some people still using the online saves? Avoid it, avoid it like the plague!
