Hey all - I recentlly installed SH3 (and4) on a new computer. If I remember right they use something called Starforce for copy protection and there may be issues with it. Is it a problem? I have an old article which tells how to remove it, but if i do I'll need some kind of patch or no cd exe to run the game? What should I do? Thanx in advance...

The only problems I encountered with starforce was with windows 7. If you do encounter issues, go to this thread:

Thanks - I'm running XP and it seems ok - I just remember there being some kind of Starforce controversy when the game was new.

Newer copies of the game (whether disk or download) don't include the original Starforce DRM, so unless you've got an older copy you're probably not gonna have to worry about it.

Hi - disk, and box are dated 2005 - so i'm guessing it's the original

It is. I ran down to a local computer store and bought a brand-new copy for $10. No StarForce, no disc in the drive, and it came bundled with SH2.
