The most Infamus S-boat in history

So as some of you have heard I'm trying to start up an S-boat fan club and looking for friends here on this site. FYI
In my earlier posts i told of how I'm in the S-36, we had ran into a large TF on our way up to the Celebes Sea from Java. Managed to heavily damage a Cruiser and sank 2 DD's that had been aggressively depth charging too close for comfort. We evaded the rest and completed the rest of our patrol with nothing else to show for it. returned to Java to refit and rearm with new orders to recon a harbor on the west side of Borneo. We were underway and heading through the shallow straits between Malaya and Borneo The weather was nice. It was about 17:00hrs Feb of 42. I was on watch and the boys were telling me about the women in Australia. Chief was bragging about those cartons of cigarettes we'd raided from the Marines while stores were being loaded back in Java. Diesel and salt were in the air, it was swell time...
Then one of the lookouts reported smoke on the horizon, bearing zero.
"Here we go boys, General quarters!" I yelled down the hatch.
We pressed forward standard speed, whatever it was was headed right for us. "Clear the bridge" we went to parascope depth to get a better picture.
"Warship screws, a whole helluva lot of em too skipper"
We surfaced and ran for them. I figured we'd ID some before calling it in and I could get a good position out of the deal. spotted several DD's one BB and a cruiser. Oh there were more but i was crazy staying up that long. We fired off a radio message and dove for PD. Chief warned me we were only in 110 feet of water. I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck.
TF was approaching under 18 knots range to the BB i wanted was 5,000
3,500 and we'd let loose all 4 i told them
she was dead ahead.
FIRE!
1
2
3
4...... "strait hot and normal skipper!"

they hit her midships all 4.

thats that right?
We dove to 90 feet and maneuvered off away from the DDs that were now in a frenzy. the TF was going wild. At least 20minutes to reload 2 tubes so we had to get outta there.

But alas she was hurt bad but not crippled and though it looked like we'd doomed her we were wrong she kept on at 13 knots. Bastards are tough i tells ya! The boys wanted to chase her but a DD had stayed behind and she was pretty close, say about 2,000 yards off our starboard bow.
so we creeped away at 3 knots.

it was well after dark when we surfaced and it had started to rain.
fog was settling down as well. all we could make was 8 knots in those high seas so after another 9 hours we abandoned our search. We dove several times but we'd lost all contact with the TF.
Were now back on coarse for our recon. Better luck next time eah?
"hey chief, lemme have one of those ciggs... "
"you an me both skipper"

Nice!

Sorry that she got limped away from you, though. Better hunting next time.
