Default [REL] Aces' Multimod compat fix mod v1.3 inc. Super Turms 4 public beta

[REL] Aces' Multimod compatibility fix mod v1.3 including Super Turms 4 - public beta.

As this mod is a sort of "Marriage" I thought the old verse might be appropriate:

Something old: Something New:

Something(s) Borrowed: Something Blue:

-------------------------------

Hi chaps,

I decided to release my work as a public beta, I will update as soon as I recieve Privateer's fantastic new MG34s but I thought you'd like something to try in the meantime and I will release a "Super Turms 4" only release (without the compatibility stuff) soon although all the Super Trums 4 stuff is include in the multi-mod compat fix download.

So here goes, here's the features of the new version and the combined mods from the previous version. The emphasis for this release is on the type 7c1 turm in particular.

Flakmonkey's Type 7 exterior lightmaps, Flakmonkey's Twisty persicopes with lightmap. Privateer's "Turm Emblems Your Way" with emblems by Tarjak and Pvt. Godfrey. Compatible with Anvart's Flag, Pennants and DF antenna mod. New Radio antenna raised and lowered with the SHIFT+A/CTRL+A commands. New objects on the bridge (all lightmapped). Testpilot's Lifebelt, UZO, DF Antenna and coiled ropes on the deck (all lightmapped). Tomi's flagpoles and 20cm ammo container (all light, mapped).

Turm 7c1 detail.

New bridge objects, ammo crates, MG34, helmets, cigarrette packets, binoculars.

New up/down radio antenna, Tommi's flagpoles detail.

Testpilot's UZO an DF Antenna detail.

Stowed UZO model in CT replaced to match the UZO on the bridge.

Corrected mirrored bearing dial on attack periscope.

New coffee mug in CR, coffee vibartes with boat movement, same with coffee mug on bridge and in the CT.

Replaced the card box and playing cards with the card game "Skat", if you don't want to use these delete the textures "cardbox.tga" and "cards.tga" in the mod's textures\TNormal\tex folder.

In the galley the cooking pot now steams away and (not shown) one of the taps drips.

New (lightmapped) officer "Johann the fantom" in the engine room with new dirty work clothes and oil can. New blue texture for engines, if this is not required delete the "ani_diffuse.tga" texture located in the mod's textures folder. Also in the engine room, two oil drips from the engine.

Incorporated Thomsen's Dials mod so that the depth dials in the CR and RR go beyond 260m and also did the one in the CT.

The UZO model now rotates 360 degrees to match the bearing in the "U" (UZO) view as shown inset.

All bridge objects and the UZO disappear under water and the radio antenna retracts on diving. The UZO will re-appear and return to it's previous bearing on surfacing

--------------------------------

My thanks to all of the mod authors for their fantastic mods, encouragement and support.

Special Thanks to (Reads like a "who's who of top modding talent) :

Desga for his help with Urfish's mod.

Flakmonkey for his permission to incorporate his Twisty Periscope mod, for his excellent lightmap tutorial and for re-lightmapping the Turm 7c1.

Anvart for his permission to include parts of his Flags, Pennants and DF antenna mod and for permission to use his "Non-standard use of SMC for animations of any objects, using crew commands" tecnique.

V-Modifications whose help with improving and testing this mod has been invaluable.

Privateer for his permission to incorporate his Turm Emblems Your Way mods and for all his help.

Brett25 for his permission to use his Wide Angle Camera settings.

Tarjak for his permission to incorporate his Historic Emblems Pack,

Luca for his assistance with the rotate UZO code.

Private Godfrey for permission to include his fantastic emblems.

Testpilot for his permission to include his UZO, lifebelt, ropes and DF antenna models and textures.

Tomi for his permission to include his flagpoles and ammo container models.

The author of the MBFL mod which saved me many hours in testing.

SKWas for his fantastic S3ditor program without which this mod wouldn't have been possible.

Last, and by no means least, my long suffering missus a "modding orphan"

For full details see the enclosed readme file.

Hope you enjoy using it, let me know what you think.H

Best Regards

Aces

Default I wonder where this goes?

-------------------------------------------------------

Just curious to know weather this is for
SH3 or 4?

-------------------------------------------------------

Hope you lot don't mind if I also just asked,
how do I get something better than

<---- " Bilge Rat "? just wondering.

Hi Aces,

thank you very much for your wonderful mod. I downloaded and installed it but could only test it for a short time. I will post some remarks after a more extensive test.

Thanks, my pleasure chaps,

Hope you enjoy it, @Reece, if you have any problems with IDs I'll redo the turm7c8 for you to try. Off to bed, quite tired, been playing around with some new sleeping crewman models, look nice but need tweaking and texturing, slow work.

Cheers
