SH III or SH IV?

Hi all, ive been away for quite some time and ive got a couple of questions.
I have currently SH III and SH IV in the drawer and im considering which one to install.
(SH V is not an option due to the current DRM scheme)

So.. the questions is.. which one should i install ? what im looking for is stability, having a good time, mods and being able to plot the torpedo solution the old way with calculaters and rulers.

Any reason for installing one over the other?

Any and all help appriciated.
