Kielbasa, sauerkraut, & SHIV

Had an awsome convoy attack Apr 44, S/E of Truk. Managed a parelell attack heading into it's course using all tubes. Used radar at first to track and plan. Which placed me about 2000 off the outer column facing the outer escort. Used an electric to fish the escort and at the same time had eels slam a tanker and 2nd Maru. Only 1 aft eel out of 4 hit a 3rd Maru, but a spare forward finished her off.
Then comes the payoff, the other two escorts (1 dd 1 aux) were none to pleased that my Gato cut their convoy in 1/2. If I didn't finish off the other Maru I could have had more escape time but Greed steped in. I rarely if ever crash dive, that's like a dinner bell for escorts. I got down to 440ish wiggled around and rolled between 420 - 540 and was doing my silent runing jazz, but they got a fix on my anyhow. Took some damage and over close to two hours time lost a crew member but eventually lost them. I like the [.] view just forward / quarter as the sub gets ash canned. But on this run I spent alot of time in crew managment prioritizing repairs.
So what does Kielbasa & sauerkraut have to do with it? That's what I had for dinner, good stuff btw. Now, imagine sitting through a lengthy d/c and the after affect atmosphere of that same time.

Having fun though just trying to get the missions done and surviving.
