MultiSH4 versus Mr. Dietz

Here's the situation:

I want to make a second and third installation of SHIV so that I can have my happy stock USN campaign as well as a Monsun installation and then one sitting ready for if and when I decide to upgrade to TMO or RFB, etc.

Reading the MultiSH4 instructions suggests that simply running another installation off the disc is not the thing to do. Can I just run JSGME for my original installation, disable all the mods and then copy the SHIV directory? If not, what do I need to do here?

Thanks in advance!

I just installed off the disk into a different folder. Make sure it has a different name.

Easiest way to do a copy and paste into a new folder (directory). Then copy multish4 into the new folder and run it to create a different save folder in your "My Documents" folder.

OK, four installations total. I've run the MultiSH4 for 1.5 UBM and it doesn't appear to be creating a directory in the ol' Vista User\Documents directory. The program does, however, recognize that I've told it to do that, at least when I ran it again.

Do I need to manually create say User\Documents\UBM as a standalone directory?

When you run Multish4 you need to make unique 3 character Folder names for your save files, i.e. I have RF5 for RFB for SH4 version1.5, OM7 for Monsun 720, ect.

OK, I think I've got it working. I didn't make the directories myself, but the game did upon boot, once told where to put the stuff. Thanks!
