Nope. My saved screenshots are not in the main folder of Silent Hunter. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, maybe a Win7 issue? The image path shows in my message box so I know they were taken, but I never find them in my SH4 folder. I searched my HD for them and it seemed they were in some type of temperary or virtual storage path that I could not access. Have not spent any time since to try figure it out.

Try reinstalling SH4 on it's own. Not in program folder.

Hmmm. If you are using Vista or Win7 they both have the same type of administration permissions needed to alter files on the OS drive (normally C:\) or at least in the OS own folders so, C:\Windows, C:\Program Files and so on. So while you take your shot in game, it tries to save but then gets told it hasn't got permission to put a file there so it simply doesn't.
The best thing to do is to install all your games outside of the OS protected file structure, I.e in its own folder, C:\Games\SH4 or even better on a different drive, D:\Games\etc.. where the permissions are not required. If you'd rather avoid uninstalling/reinstalling you could try running SH4 with admin priveledges on (right click then select run as administrator) that may work. This is all of course assuming that this is the problem that's causing you to lose your snaps, hope it helps, otherwise good luck. |

Gents;
when taking a screenshot the folder "path" info should show up in your dialogue box in-game. That should eliminate the hunting through folders. hope this helps, ![]() |

I tried starting the game as an administrator and it crashed. However I found that if you go to the game properties by right clicking the game folder you can give yourself (i.e. the 'user') full control after which, screenshots appear in the main ubisoft folder along with all the other game files...this was on windows7
