Default Scratch 2 flattops

I took command of the USS Drum and on my first patrol I sank the Hiyo NW of Truk. The funny thing was that it only had one escort!

On my third patrol, I sank the Shokaku as it was sailing towards Bungo. The interesting part, No escorts! It was pretty cool. I hit something important with my second torp and there were tons of secondary explosions and boy, did that carrier go down quick.

I'm running the latest version of TMO and RSRD. I was just surprised that both CVs had no escorts.

I hit two escort carriers north west of Manila in my S-Boat in my last campaign, on my first patrol, exiting base to do recon.

Before I installed TMO and the Narwhal.

I don't think I've ever seen a fleet carrier, so I thought it was funny to go on 3 patrols and see ACs on 2 of them.

I currently have a campaigned saved where I've encountered a full out Carrier Task force with FOUR AC's and 3 Escorts, plus a crap load of DD's and Heavy Cruisers. Wish I had unlimited torpedoes! Unfortunately I only have 13.

This is my first patrol, along the northwest Bornio coastline, at night, Dec. 15, 1941.

Question: I'm running on normal difficulty on the campaign (standard SHIV 1.4), but I put realism settings to 52%, witch include limited fuel and such. But I'm not seeing my fuel levels go down after 1,000 miles of patrolling. What gives? Sargo class boat.

Saw a couple flattops the first time I loaded up SH4 with TMO, and then went like a year and a half before I saw another one. Had one carrer where I mostly popped off nothing but fishing boats and sampans and the occasional freighter or small tanker. I did at least get a big 18,000 ton troopship though!
