Default Ship sinking difficulties

Hello everyone,

I've recently acquired the game, and trying to like it despite of it's bugs. I think it has great potential. I can't wait to see what GWX team will come up with.

I'm playing at the "high" realism option, and I'm finding it really hard to sink the ships. I mostly aim one torpedo at the engine room, and one torpedo to the front at the cargo bay.

Most of the time, front hits have no effect at all. Ships move on their course like nothing happened. I'd expect them to eventually sink of flooding, but it's not the case.

Some ships get broken. If bow is broken, it has no effect at all. No speed changes, no eventual flooding and sinking. If stern is broken, it just stops moving. No sinking again.

Am I missing something, because in SH3 and 4 ships would eventually sink because of flooding after some time. I'm just frustrated because I have to use 3-4 torps just to get one ship going down.

In this picture you can see me ramming the ship in frustration(I got really angry) after it took my lost two 2 torpedos(one bow one stern), broken in half, my last deck gun bullets and still wouldn't sink
