Hello. Could anyone please point me in the direction of any basic modding tutorials that would show me which of the configuration files do what, or where to look for certain effects? I'm thinking of things like submarine performance, weapons effectiveness, map contacts display, and suchlike.
I know it's probably a big, vague question, but if anyone has any tips I'd be grateful. I'd like to minimise time spent breaking the game if possible. ![]() Thank you. ![]() |

those are in yoursub.sim in the sub directory, you can edit them using S3D weapons effectiveness, yourweapon.zon same as aboce, S3D map contacts display, and suchlike. not a clue here keltos I know it's probably a big, vague question, but if anyone has any tips I'd be grateful. Performance of most any object is defined in a .sim file.
The outer shell of the object, how much HP's it has or subtracts is usually defined in the zon file. the zon files for ships/subs/planes has a parent/child relationship with the zones.cfg file |
