So I have tried playing with No Map Contact Update and unless you are an expert in maths and Trig. then its just not worth it!
However.... the other methods available are the TDC ON method ( just use the preiscope to adjust the yellow torp path line where you think looks right and press fire......point and shoot ) -- too easy or the join up the dots method.... --- who wants seriously to use that? lol So the choice we have is too easy ( follow the yellow torp line and shoot ) or No map contact update which is utterly and ridiculously hard! Could we not just go back to the old SH3 method which seemed inbetween these two extremes? where you had to use protractor to get aob from the map and the mast height for range from the periscope and speed using the stopwatch? that was not too easy or too hard was it? Am I missing something here? The real die hard simmer in me wants to go for No map contact update but its like trying to find a virgin in Soho! ![]() |
