Default When can you get sub cammo during the war?

I have seen many pictures of subs with cammo strips along the hull but there is still no option for it on the upgrade selection screen. When does this become available in the war?

All sub skins are skin mods, you can get realistic ones or something a little different like my ones. Press the link below or if you want one of my funky colour ones visit bts mods but be quick site is going down for a while.

I've been thinking about starting a second career in a type IXB, but have held off because I couldn't find a skin that was quite right for me.

I've just taken a look at your IXB skins Steed.
Very nice work

Looks like that second career beckons
I'll probably go with IXB No1 or No2.

Scars of battle

Out of all the skins out there I think the black one was about one of the best I saw out there once, but it looks too much like a nuclear sub then,my only gripe with a lot of them is the realism factor (did they use these skins for real?) and the pristeen look they seem to have, seemingly without rust or any other 'wear and tear' marks they may have developed.
Do the skins develop marks during a patrol,or do they stay as if straight out of the paint shop? if the former I may get a new one sometime
I am currently thinking about a blue/green type skin for the Atlantic and a blue/white one for the Arctic
Any ideas?

PLEASE NOTE - I dont mean to slander any skin mods by my statement earlier, because I know a lot of work went into them and I respect the creativity gone into them,I am just curious about their 'battle scarred' potential

Some people create skins with weathering and rust and "battle damage" and then some people don't. The boat's themselves don't generate damage as they go along though. But if you're looking for realistic skins: Wolfehunter in particular is a master of realism when it come to authentic, quality skins with nice weathering/rusting touches. Yamato9 is another individual who's done some fantastically real skins. Someone (I can't remember who but it was someone from BtS ) even did a skin that had 3 different versions - one fresh, one mildly used, and one late war. You could change it as your career progressed to make it look like you'd had her for more than a few miles...

But yes, there is definately 2 sides to skinning: the realists (Wolfehunter, Yamato9, Capzap, etc) and the fantasy skinners (Steed, SWCowboy, Koondawg, myself, etc). Just pick what you like - who cares if it looks a bit too "new"...

Yea just slap on the paint and create a work of art.

I use gloss paint.

Big D visited my flotilla and said...STEED old boy, you more paint here than ells. I said...Do you want a sexy looking boat or a grungy grey?...Big D said...Yar I like a gloss look, scares the hell out of the Allies.
